: Canon EOS R5 C training series is released. What will happen next year? Will you say 'Sorry, not supported on macOS 16, go and buy a new printer'? The BigSur beta is using the same Lexmark universal driver 2.1 as is being used on another Mac on my network running an older version of MacOS I have never had this printing issue before. If I can't use this printer anymore, I would go and buy an HP or Lexmark because this ruins my trust in Canon. I too am using the 20A5395g BigSur 11.0 beta, and am unable to print to my Lexmark CX517de printer, consistently receiving the 'filter failed' message. Given the fact that Canon is making money mostly on inks and less or printers, even if you don't care about electronic waste and the environment, you should fix the drivers so that I keep buying supplies. So the printer is communicating just fine with Big Sur, however, the Gutenberg drivers don't let me chose certain parameters like print quality, black & white ink, etc. The password stored in your Apple Keychain must have been deleted or modified for some reason, causing macOS to. This can happen due to some updates installed or changes done to macOS. I don't want to dump that to the waste a nobody else should.Įven on macOS BigSur I can print with this printer with the open-source Gutenberg drivers. I have been trying to change my default settings for our printer at the office. If you see ‘Hold for Authentication’ on your print job in the print queue on your Mac, it is likely the wrong password is stored in your Apple Keychain. but I find that Big Sur will not recognize my HP 1300. The printer works for any test documents independent of the computer. I have a ton of supply material purchased. I have a Lexmark X5630 4-ib1 printer linked by usb to an iMac (late 2009 model) with MacOS 10.12.5 and the latest Lexmark printer driver. It's working fine from 1) Windows and from 2) MacOS Catalina. I mean, this printer is working just fine.
